Summary: Roles and permissions are set up at 3 different levels in a VancastVideo account:
- ACCOUNT
- WORKSPACE
- EVENT
EVENT level Roles and Permissions
Any user that creates an event becomes the Owner of that event.
The Owner of an event has full permission over the event
The Owner of an event can add new Collaborators to help him manage the event.
Any new Collaborator of an event can have one of the following Roles:

Manager | Full permissions over the event, except deleting the event A Manager can add new collaborators with any role except Owner |
Producer | Can: - Manage Links - Launch Streaming Engines - Manage the Control-Room - A Producer can add only new Producer collaborators Cannot: - Create or delete new sessions - Add Collaborators other than Producers - Edit the Webcast Page - Add contents to the Webcast Page - Access de Q&A moderators console - Delete the event - Manage the On Demand version of the event |

WORKSPACE level Roles and Permissions
To create a new Workspace you must be an Account user.
The Account user that creates a new Workspace becomes the Owner of that Workspace.
If the Workspace is intended for someone else, he must access the Workspace console, go to Settings/Admins and add a new Workspace user:
The new Workspace user can have one of these Roles and associated Permissions over the Workspace.

Administrator | All permissions over the Workspace except: - Add new Administrators to the Workspace - Manage any of the Workspace Settings Specifically, can: - Create and completely set up a new event or an event that he has been granted permission over |
Producer | Can only: - Manage events (depending on the permissions at the event level) Specifically cannot: - Add new Administrators to the Workspace - Manage any of the Workspace Settings - Create new events |

A Workspace Producer cannot create a new event but...
A Workspace Producer could become an event owner when someone else, with the appropriate permission, creates the event and adds them as an event owner.

Administrator | Can see and operate all the functionality on the Account console, except: - Cannot add or remove account users of any kind - Cannot see or update the Account's Plan - Cannot buy credits - Cannot see the billing information |
